● Which personal data do we process?
We may collect and process information in several ways: Information you give to us or our partners, such as name, home address, email address, and payment details; and Information we get from visits to our website, such as IP-addresses.

 
● General purpose of the processing:
We only use your data for the benefit of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. Your data will not be shared with third parties, other than to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to secrecy on the basis of the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.

● Mollie:
Mollie, a recognized Collecting Payment Service Provider, provides the internet payment service for The Last Books. Mollie has the Currence certificate to be able to offer iDEAL as CPSP. This means that Mollie meets all Currence requirements. Your payments at Mollie are always made via secure EV-SSL connections. Mollie processes your name, address and residence details, and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to provide services to further improve and in this context to share (anonymized) data with third parties. All the above-mentioned safeguards with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie’s services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not store your data for longer than is permitted by the legal terms.

We use the services of PostNL for the execution of the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name and address with PostNL. PostNL uses this information only for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to these parties.

● Retention periods:
The Last Books does not store your personal data longer than is legally permitted and necessary to serve the initial purposes for which it was collected. The storage period depends on the nature of the information and the purposes of processing. The maximum period may therefore vary per use.

Right of inspection

 
You always have the right to inspect the data that we process or have processed that relate to your person or that can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to that effect to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data with an overview of the processors who have this data, stating the category under which we have stored this data.

 
• Right to object:
You may object to certain use of your personal data if such data is processed for other purposes than necessary for the performance of our services or for compliance with a legal obligation. You may also object to any further processing of your personal data despite prior given consent. ● Participation in tax and criminal investigation:
Where appropriate, The Last Books can be held on the basis of a legal obligation to share your data in connection with government tax or criminal investigations. In such a case, we are forced to share your information, but we will oppose it within the possibilities that the law offers us.

We take all reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect our website from unauthorized access to, unauthorized alteration of, the disclosure, or destruction, of the personal data we hold.
